Ian and Friends

I am writing this post listening to "Thick as Brick" By Jethro Tull. It all started when I was searching for shows to go to that would be a good time. I saw in the paper, "Ian Anderson plays the orchestral Jethro Tull. One night only. I was immediatly on it. Got on the computer, found the best tickets for the best price, and bam. I got my seats. Row Y seats one and two (in the aisle) I traveled with my bud Paul, from Pauls rants, and fellow David Jaffe (The biggest Tull fan ever) We first had a delightful dinner at the world famous Hermanos, Which consisted of garlic nachos, and a couple of enchiladas. We ended up running to the theater because we were almost late. We did make it in time though.
The show was aboulutly mind blowing. It blew my mind. During the first half, the extremely talented flutist, played rock and jazz versions of Mozart and Bach. Cool Huh? Well, check out the second half, After the intermission, I came back with an insane tee shirt. Ian played all classic Tull songs through the second half. It "Made my ears bleed" Coming back for an encore at the end and played Locomotive Breath. Great song. We then departed from a night of awesomeness, proceeded to Dunkin Doughnuts for the Club Club meeting the next moring. One of the best nights ever. PEACE!

The First Annual Morrison Awards

The Edgar Morrison blog will be now hosting the Annual Morrison Awards. These awards cover, Music, Movies, and TV.

The First award will given to the artist with the best new album.

THE NOMINEES-

A Bigger Bang - The Rolling Stones.
- I really liked this album, It had a lot of everything. It had some really pure rock n' roll songs, a couple of bluesy tunes and a couple slow songs as well. Even though the members are getting old, they have proved that they can still play like they did back in the 60's.

Fingerprints - Peter Frampton
- This Album is amazing. Hands down. Frampton managed to pull off his first all instrumental album. (With some talk box of course) At first I thought "eeehhh, I don't know, an all instrumental by Frampton." I listened to it and I was blwn away. He manages to cover one of the worst songs in history, "Black Hole Sun" By Shinedown and turn it into a work of art. When I witnessed Peter open for Lynyrd Skynyrd at Meadowbrook, I was one of the first people to ever here this song. (It was before the album was out) This is one album that you can't pass up. Amazing.

Face the Promise - Bob Seger
- This was a decent album. I did like it but I have to say that I like a lot of his old stuff a little better, Such as "Turn the Page" and "The Fire Down Below" I think that it was a solid disc and a job well done by Bob.

Modern Times - Bob Dylan
- I was acually a little disapointed with this album. I liked his previous better. I have nothing more to say.

AND THE AWARD FOR BEST NEW ALBUM GOES TO.....

FINGERPRINTS BY PETER FRAMPTON
- Peter, A job well done.

MOVIES-

Nominees-

Nacho Libre-
A solid film. I was expecting a little more though. But the thought of fat, funny men in tight pants... how could you resist.

Clerks II-
Oh My GOD. Who whould even think about making this movie? Why is this nominated? I'll have to have a little chat with my producers. This is definatly not a winner.

The Inside Man-
An amazing movie. Denzel did a fantastic job. I couldn't stop watching it.
Great.

Snakes on a Plane-
Yes folks, this is quite possibly the best movie of the year. I had a great time when I saw it. At first I thought that I would like i because it was so stupid but actually it was a good movie. I had a few laughs during the film which made it a good time. This is the perfect example of the kind of movie that you watch with a bunch of friends.

AND THE AWARD WINNER IS .....

SNAKES ON A PLANE!!

Congradulations Sam Jackson!

TV SHOWS-

Nominees-

Prison Break-

Prison break is a solid show. I liked the first season better than this season though. This season is getting a little cheesy.

Deal or No Deal-

This is a really fun show to watch. I always have fun on mondays watching the jerm freak pound-it with the contestants. My favorite episode was the one with the fat guy from New York. He won like 200,000.

24-

24 is the best show in history. It is full of action and wierd CTU relationships. Kiefer Sutherland does a great job.

AND THE WINNER IS....

24!!!

This one really deserves it.

Thank you everyone for supporting the First annual Morrison Awards. This concludes the awards. Tune in next year for the next winners. Congrats to all of the winners.

History Of The Blog

I would just like to add for all of you arguing about whos blog was first, Me and Wally would always sit in free period until we found the Blogger web site. I give credit where credit is due. So Wally, thank you for finding Blogger...but I did have the very first post out of all of you. Even check the archives. My first post was March 28 and Wally's came a day later. Hopefully this can settle the argument.

Tupac LIVES!

From the moment Tupac died I was like, "damn he's fakin it" and I still believe that today. I think that since he was so popular, he faked his own death so that he wouldnt get as much puplicity. Well he definatly still gets puplicity, from me at least.

THE EVIDENCE-
-After he died he somehow manages to keep making records. Some people say that that is because his producers just took songs that never made the final cut and put them all on a record. I think that there are only so many songs that could have not made the cut. That right there is a solid piece of evidence in itself...But theres more.

-There were never any pictures realesed from the hospital.

-There was no suspects for the shooting. NO SUSPECTS! There are always suspects. Another solid piece of evidence.

-When the funeral was schedualed to be held, there was no press allowed, and then the funeral was cancelled for unknown reasons. Why would they cancel the funeral of an amazingly famous rapper?

-Tupac had an album named "The 7 Day Theory," He was shot on the seventh day of September. Tupac was pronounced dead at 4:03 am. 4+3=7. When he died he was 25 years old. 2+5=7. Looks like 7 was Tupac's lucky number.

-The only witness of Tupac's shooting was shot to death. (HMMM...)

These are only some of the few pieces of evidence to his "death." I have no doubt in my mind that Tupac is alive right now, somewhere where no one can find him.

The Atomic Bomb

Yes folks this is the atomic bomb that is the turning point of the war. Here are some of the horrible qoutes from his mouth,

"Anyone who is not on my side is gay" This is clearly poking fun at gay people.

"People that listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd are racist bitches" God danm it. I have nothing to say to that.

"That autistic kid is a bitch" How much meaner can you get?

And finally He has been lately saying how he hates Jaffe. We concluded that it is because he wears that "little hat on his head"

P.S.

Chambers look inside your locker. If you dont surrender the blog war, we have photocopies.

We tried to post it but it didnt work, your lucky.

NMPA Crisis

Everyone that knows me knows that I of course love music. I play guitar toot on my trumpet and have the ability to play drums. One of the ways that I learn my music is by goin on the net and looking up tabs. One of the reasons that tabliture was created was because it was a way to share from person to person how to play a song. It was written down with out using notes or musical symbols. Tabs now had its own language of music. The best thing about it was that it was free unlike written music. Now a few years later, the fuckin National Music Publishers Association comes along and say that it is illegal. WTF? Tabs were created so that they were legal and so that musicians that couldnt afford written music could look at tabs. I found out about this by going on the internet to get a tab for Bad Company's "Rock Steady" (good song) and a message come up from the manager of the web site that the NMPA was shutting down tabs. God damn media! Please help in the fight against the NMPA by going on www.guitartabs.cc and reading the front page article. If you searce a little further, you can do what I did and join the club to save tabs. Please help to save the education that is being lost by the NMPA who will most definatly burn in Hell and be good buddies with Satan. PEACE.

TRIBUTE TO LYNYRD SKYNYRD

Yes, it's true I have started posting again. It's a good way to communicate with Waldo while he is in the U.A.E. But anyway, this post is going out to our faithful Lynyrd Skynyrd. I recently attended the show at Meadowbrook. I must say that it was one of the greatest shows I have ever been to. They opened with the great song, "Workin' For MCA" then continued and played a series of classic Skynyrd songs. The band closed with the famous "Sweet Home Alabama" then came out for an encore and played the most amazing version of "Free Bird" that I have ever heard. And I am also posting to commemorate our beloved Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines, and Cassie Gaines who died in the famous 1977 plane crash. I have to give them a hats off for staying together all these years. I also want to recognise Peter Frampton for opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was amazing to. I suggest you check out his web site- www.frampton.com. And no they are not racist. They sing a song about a black man that plays the blues. There is nothing negative in the song. And they played it at the concert. And in the words of Johnny Van Zant, "SKYNYRDS IN THE HOUSE!" PEACE.

The Da Vinci Code and the Pope

First off, I would like to pay my respects to the Pope. He is a good man and I do not mean for this post to get anyone mad. (Waldo) Anyway, I think that it is the stupidest thing for the Pope to ban the 2006 movie starring Tom Hanks, "The Da Vinci Code." I mean first of all it is a fiction story, second the movie is apparently done so bad that nobody would believe it anyway. I personally think that the church is getting to strict. It is a movie for God's sake. There is nothing in the Bible that says, ooo no Da Vinci Code bad. Must not let people see it because it is a fiction story. It is not even telling you what to believe, Dan Brown is just saying, "look this is Da Vinci's code it looks real but I made it up." I thought it might be a good thing to think about.

Also, me and a certain personal friend, Waldo, have started a film company called PJ FILMS LTD. We have many scripts in the works that will soon become short skits so we'll get those films out later. PEACE!

Ok I thought this was a good topic to blog about. Keith + Palm tree = death. First of all how the hell do you get into a palm tree imean it has no branches. C'mon Keith that is just pure stupidity why dont you just go down to the local native store and buy the damn cocoa nut. I respect him for being one of the greatest guitarists and everything but I didnt think he was that stupid. O wait he's from Europe. I bet they dont have palm trees over there. Anyway, he just came out of surgery which I don't know why you need surgery on a minor concussion. That makes no sense. Man, Doctors these days dont even get me started. So Kieth next time you might want to try a thing called a ladder. Do they have those in Europe?

Nacho Libre = Blues Brothers

I have some exiting, interesting, good news. I just figuered out that the upcoming film starring Jack Black is almost exactly like The Blues Brothers starring John Belushi and Dan Akoroid. The first simularity is that one partner is fat and the other is skin and bones. The other is that both pairs are trying to save an orphanage by raising money. Exept one pair doesnt wear sunglasses. Nacho must become a pro wrestler and Jake and Elwood must play benifiet concerts. I just thought that was cool. PEACE!

I mean c'mon who even cares about immagration from Mexico. What a dumb man. Go back the the Terminator Arnold. PEACE!

The Edgar Morrison Story

Alright guys here it is the story you have all been waiting for.

The Legend of Edgar Morrison

In 1949, Kim and Barry Morrison gave birth to a boy named Edgar Morrison. Edgar grew up in a time of heavy racial discrimination in Alabama. By the time he was four years old, he was already taught by his parents to hate Negroes. In 1960, when Edgar was eleven, he started to develop his own views about racial issues which were the opposite of his family.
Edgar was constantly badgered by his older brothers for disagreeing with the views of his family. To escape, he would go and sit on the streets with his friends and play music. Through their music, the band spread their message of peace. Before long, hey had formed a band called “The Morrison Band.”
When he got older, Edgar got a job at the local country store and saved his money for guitars or harmonicas. When he was sixteen, he saved enough money for a car and he bought a VW Bus. He moved out of the house when he was eighteen. He lived and slept in his car. During the next few years, he got involved in some protests for anti-racial discrimination and peace rallies. Being a hippie in the sixties, he had strong feelings about peace and equality. Edgar began to speak at some major protests and it wasn’t long before he spoke at every one that he went to because he was liked by the people so much. People supporting the cause started to consider him a god that was sent down to eliminate discrimination and bring peace. Many of the same people that attended the protests also attended “The Morrison Band” concerts. Edgar and his band played at such places as Woodstock and Madison Square Garden.
Scanlan 2
As racial discrimination was finally coming to an end, the people claimed that it was Edgar Morrison that ended it and brought equality. People all over the country came to see him in concert and listen to his twenty-three other speeches.
After Edgar’s twenty-third speech, he was walking back to his van to get some rest for the night. Little did he know that a racist named Dan Clooney was waiting for him on a balcony near his van. As Edgar continued back to his van, he was hit in the back by a bullet from Dan Clooney’s gun. When the police came, they found Edgar dead on the ground and the shooter was also dead with a gun in his hand.
Shortly after Edgar’s death, his fans created a memorial for him in his hometown of Alabama. Every year on the anniversary of Edgar’s death, thousands of fans go back to the memorial and sing his songs of peace and equality. To this day, it is believed by many that it was Edgar Morrison that brought people together in peace and equality.

Snakes on a Plane

This movie will definatly be one of the best this year. I mean c'mon, with a title like snakes on a plan you just cant resist. Thats what Sam Jackson said when he read the script. But this better be no comedy because I lost an Uncle to snakes on a plane. While one of the poisonous ones bit him in the ankle, another one bit his eye out. So this movie better be portraying and saluting those who died to snakes on a plane. And please do me a favor and go see it on the big screen to remember those who died. And in the words of Samuel L. Jackson, "I want the mother fuckin' snakes off the mother fuckin' plane. PEACE!

Alright guys i got some news for ya. A french woman has just filed a lawsuit against George Clooney and the Warner Bros. for sopossably plagerizing "Syriana." (go Frenchies) Its about time someone sticks it to him. I believe that now he should have to give up his oscar for his movie and personally give it back to Paul Giamatti (the real winner) Oh and sorry Fidel Giamatti I forgot that George Clooney was the only asshole of the year award.

George Clooney has been determined as the false prophet because he steals oscars from very deserving people(Paul Giamatti) So clearly without a doubt Satan = Dan Rather + George Clooney

Yo man, what has this country turned into. C'mon this is sad. there was never any kid this fat in the sixties. Really though, it is almost like Ron Mcdon has turned into Hitler or somthing. No PEACE for this article.
