Getting things strait once and for all

I dont know how many people have said to me that Lynyrd Skynyrd is racist. If you know anything about them, you would know that they are not racist. People say, "Oh look a confederate flag, that must mean that they are racist." This is the worst stereotype ever. The history behind the confederate flag goes like this, It was created by a Mississippi delegate who wanted to design a flag similar to the American flag but it would represent the southern states. The word confederacy means an alliance between people or parties, in this case it was the southern states. Which brings me to why the famous band uses and wears the southern flag. They wear it because it represts southern pride in ones state and as a symbol of, "we come from Alabama" kind of thing. If people say that Lynyrd Skynyrd is racist, its like me saying that everyone that lives in New Hampshire is a hillbilly because they live in the woods in the middle of no where. Which is not true. Another thing that I get alot of is, "Oh its not the confederate flag, its the song, Gimme back my bullets." Lets review the lyrics to this song.

Name one place in that song where there is somthing that is racist. HMMM..... I can't seem to find anything.

I have liked this band for a long time. I have attended at concert at which I did see a couple of black people. They played songs like "The ballad of Curtis Lowe." That song is supporting a black man that plays the blues.

Sometimes I just don't understand when people say they are racist. Basicaly it is just a misunderstanding of what the Confederate flag really means. Just take a look at the Mississippi state flag. It has the confederate flag in the corner. Like I said, it stands for southern pride. It must mean somthing if slavery was abolished in 1865 and the Mississippi still has a confederate flag on it. It means that they have overcome slavery, found some history in the flag and said, "Hey, this flag stands for our history and our strenght to overcome the worst thing that ever happend to America, lets have some pride in that."

The Greatest Show on Earth

My idea of the best show on earth is a show that takes real life issues and makes them interesting to watch. They one talk show that does this for me is the O' Reilly Factor with Bill O' Reilly. I love this show. Bill is one of my personal favorite republicans. The very popular TV show is now shown in over thirty countries. I be my buddy Wally is watching it right now. Also, As an inspiriring journalist, he is a big influence. He also shares some of my favorite movies including, The Godfather, Dirty Harry, Rocky, Young Frankenstien, and The Alamo. He not only shares movie interests but also interests in music. The artists include, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Beatles, Elvis, and of cousrse Earth Wind and Fire. The journalist also supports charities such as, Habitat for Humanity. Looks like he has a soft spot that he doesnt normally show on the O' Reilly Factor. This Manhattan born man is eaisily my favorite talk show host. If you have other ideas, comment with your favorite talk show host. But Bill O' Reilly will always triumph. PEACE!

Ryan Sandlin, Steven Zancowski, and Tim Carrigan all got arrested last week for posetion of cigarettes and knives. Go Figure.

John Chambers recently got accepted to the amazing Bow High School varstity football team. When talking to the coach, he said quote, "Thanks coach, thats the best birthday present ever" End quote.

Kyle Mandro, Patrick Scanlan, Alex PV, and John Chambers have all joined the Jazz lab band, an intro to jazz with Paul Bourgulais. Man that guy is a know it all.

Now some news about hair-

Both John Chambers and Liam McCarthy have decided to get mohawks for the varstity football team.

Alex PV has continued to grow his hair long. Its about shoulder length.

PScans has got a haircut. Its not as long as it used to be.

Kyle Mandro looks exactly the same.

Michard looks the same. With his Boston Red Sox hat on all the time.

Aussie Pink Floyd

Fellow Blog buddie and former enemy in BWI, has decided to take some friends to the Australian Pink Floyd Show for his birthday. Originally, he planned to go to the fanciest restaurant in Boston. I said, "there is no way Im going to a fancy restaurant. I was the one that convinced him to take us to the Pink Floyd show. Since he wanted to go to something "Expensive" I thought that it fit the description better than a fancy restaurant. Anyway, this show should be a amazing. A New Documentary

After planning a road trip to the city of Cleveland, fellow blogger Big Lee and I have also planned to shoot a documentary about the FCC and censorship. The official name of the film will be called, "Censored*) This film will include interviews with radio host, Howard Stern and some musical artist that have feelings for the issue. If you are someone that may want to be interviewed, please contact me or Big Lee. The film will hopefully be a big enough hit so that we are invited to huge parties with movie stars and are offered to make a guest appearance on Late Night With Conan O' Brian. If we make it even bigger, maybe they will make fun of us on Saturday Night Live. Who doesn't want to be made fun of on Saturday Night Live. Michael Moore, watch out!
